Jealousy
For
thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord,
whose name is Jealous,
is a jealous God:
Exodus 34:14
-
Isaiah 42:13 The
Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a
man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail
against his enemies
-
Mark 9:42 And
whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me,
it is better for him that a millstone
were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.
- 1 Kings 18:40 And
Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of
Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought
them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there. (apparently 450 of
them)
- 2 Peter 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there
shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable
heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves
swift destruction
- Jeremiah 14:15 Therefore thus saith the Lord
concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet
they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine
shall those prophets be consumed.
- Deuteronomy 13:5 And
that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he
hath spoken to turn
you away from the Lord your God
- Galatians 1:8 But
though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than
that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed
- Galatians 1:9 As we
said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you
than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
- Jude 14 And
Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the
Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, 15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly
among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and
of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
- Revelation 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with
him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he
deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that
worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning
with brimstone.
